TUTUME SUB DISTRICT

1. Service description

The goal of the division is to plan for and implement environmental planning and management programmes in order to promote harmony in land use, prevent pollution and to ensure healthy development standards.

 

2. How does one obtain the service

By visiting the Physical Planning office in Tutume Rural Administration Centre

Services offered

  • Preparation of layout plans for the council - this entail preparation of detailed layouts to help Land Boards to allocate plot in a manner that best manage land usage.

  • Planning and building approvals - this ensure that all building plans that are proposed meet the minimum requirements as stipulated in the above documents

  • Subdivision and consolidation of landthis is to ensure that all subdivided plots meet minimum plot sizes as stipulated in the Urban development Standards

  • Change of land-use within Tutume Planning Areathis is to ensure that all proposed changes conforms to the provision of the Development Plans

  • Zoning for commercial activities - this is to ensure that all proposed changes conforms to the provision of the Development Plans

 

3. General Subdivision/Consolidation Plan Approval Application Requirements

  • 8 copies of location plan and site plan.

  • Copy of lease/certificate/ title deed for the plot holder.

  • Covering letter stipulating reasons for the proposed use or subdivision/consolidation.

  • Collect and distribute consultation forms to the neighbouring plot owners.

  • site plan should legibly drawn at a scale not less than 1:200

  • payment of perusal fee as per the schedule of payment for CDC

General Building Plan Approval Application Requirements

  • 4 copies of location plan and site plan.

  • 4 copies of floor plan, elevations, section plan

  • Certified copy of lease/certificate/ title deed for the plot holder.

  • Means of waste water disposal

  • Payment of perusal fee as per the schedule of payment for CDC

NB: Requirements may vary according to magnitude of projects
